Skyline Trail Panorama (download original to view)

Skyline Trail Panorama (download original to view)

This approximately 340 degree panorama was taken on the Skyline Trail on the southerly face of Great Blue Hill in Canton, Massachusetts using a Samsung Galaxy SIII Smartphone.

Howard Hoople, President of the Massachusetts Butterfly Club, is shown twice in the photo -- he moved while I was taking this photo, reminiscent of class pictures taken in the early half of the 20th century where some mischievous students are shown twice. In this instance, Howard walked up the path to check up on a Spring Azure butterfly that was hanging out on the rocky outcropping.

This photo is best viewed by downloading the original file and then zooming in on the center of the image until it fills the screen vertically. You can then pan the image right and left to look right or left approximately 170 degrees.

A Hairstreak was seen in a Low Bush Blueberry patch just down the mountain face on the left side of the photo (behind and leftward from where Howard is standing).
