These shots were all taken on February 17, 2007, during the anual Eagle Festival. I started out visiting the Chain Bridge / Deer Island area in Amesbury, Massachusetts. This park is located along the Merrimac River which is an outstanding area to see Bald Eagles fishing during the winter.

My next brief stop was at Cashman Park in Newburyport, Massachusetts, another good place for Bald Eagles, however, after I left Deer Island, many of the Eagles had left for the day.

My last stop was at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island hoping to get some Short-eared Owl photos. I saw several and got some OK shots of some rather distant birds. I hope to have better luck next year.
