Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), 4th Year

Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus), 4th Year

Taken at the end of Riverdale Street in Northbridge, Massachusetts.

Dr. Tom French, Assistant Director for the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game’s (DFG) Natural Heritage Program, was able to identify this 4th year bird as "C/7 burnt orange (679-00638)". According to Tom, this was one of two chicks banded in a nest in the backyard of a residential home near the Merrimack River, West Newbury, MA on June 10, 2008.
